What is the course?

The ICT Networks' Junos Start Program is a free, one day course hosted in North Sydney. The Junos Start Program addresses the needs of an IOS-trained engineer by providing a side-by-side comparison of configurations and techniques in both IOS and Junos. In a few quick steps you can compare what you did yesterday with IOS to what you can do today with Junos.

Who is the course for?

If you have experience in configuring Cisco devices, are well versed with the Cisco IOS and are preparing for the Juniper JNCIA-JUNOS certification or working in a Juniper JUNOS network environment. The ICT Networks Junos Start Program is for you. It assists network engineers who have the Cisco certifications e.g., CCNA, or equivalent knowledge, to learn the Junos architecture and Juniper CLI fundamentals which are covered in the Junos, Associate (JNCIA-Junos) certification exam. It helps to understand the Cisco vs Juniper mindset and help you to map/learn commands used in Juniper Networks.

What is the take-away?

An understanding of the logical way in which Junos is configured, and a comparison to familiar IOS commands. The key take away is the ability to begin thinking in a whole new way. It seems most network operating systems resemble Cisco IOS, but Juniper has gone in a new direction, which can require a new thought process while configuring. The goal is for the student to understand why Junos is the worlds leading network operating system. You'll get up and running with the basics, and by the end of this path, you'll be confident in your ability to work with Junos.
